So you have gathered your information and you know what you want in the way of a fence. Before you go any further you need some basic tools some of which you may already have for other chores.  Others are more specialised and you may need to spend some time getting the hang of using them.


Hammer
Chisel
Spirit Level
Tape measure
Brace and bit/augurs
Crowbar
Small and large adjustable spanners
Wire cutters
Plane – not necessary, but makes a cleaner job
Chainsaw
Pencil!
