The Northland  Field Days is the largest event held in Northland, and the second largest agricultural event for New Zealand. Over 550 exhibitors participate, attracting in excess of 25,000 visitors to the event over the three days.

Participation is highly sought after by both exhibitors and visitors alike, who travel from all over New Zealand and even from overseas. It is an event that provides the opportunity to gain exposure and increased revenue for the exhibitors, and the repeat site bookings is evidence of the positive outcome. Each year by April, the following event is already two thirds booked, and the committee has regularly had to increase the available area due to high demand.

Site charges remain very competitive to similar events. The policy of keeping costs of other requirements such as programme advertising and gate entry passes separate, contributes to this, as prices remain relevant to each exhibitor’s specific requirements.

The Northland  Field Days is a non-profit organisation. Each year, after running costs are deducted, funds are made available for the Northland Field Days Grant. Criteria for the Grant involves study or research relating to agricultural, horticultural, silvicultural, or environmental projects that can be shown to be for the betterment of Northland. Grant proposals are submitted to the committee in April each year and various groups and individuals have had the benefit of approval.

The Northland Field Days is proud to have established a reputation as the “Friendly Field Days” and looks forward to seeing you there.
