Specialist agricultural and horticultural research laboratory, DHM Labs, is set for expansion with the appointment of a new management team.

The Franklin-based independent analytical and research laboratory, which specialises in testing soils, plant, water, fertilisers, honey and feeds, has welcomed Tamsin Wilson as Business Manager.

In this newly created role Tamsin will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the business. Tamsin has an Honours Degree in Agriculture and a strong business focus with a proven background in customer relationship management, customer service, marketing and accounting.

Michaela Stevenson, former Laboratory Assistant, has been promoted to Laboratory Manager responsible for overseeing all client research. Michaela has worked with DHM for the past three years and has built up extensive knowledge and expertise in analytical procedures and testing.

Together, Tamsin and Michaela will lead the existing DHM team, which has experienced an increased demand for its services following the introduction of the unique new Soil Microbial Indicator (SMI) Test.

Tamsin, who has ambitious growth plans for DHM, is looking forward to the challenges of the role. “DHM is a specialist, niche laboratory which prides itself in offering clients a personalised service unrivalled by larger laboratories.

I’m committed to maintaining this standard along with recognising the need to grow and develop the business to continue to meet our clients’ needs,” she said.

Michaela added, “This is an exciting time for the business as we look to develop new, innovative research and analysis methods and I look forward to using my expertise in these areas to help the business grow.”

Tamsin and Michaela will be at Mystery Creek from 10 – 13 June 2009, and invite all farmers to visit the DHM stand in the McDonalds Lime tent (M2).
