Rural Living is delighted there has been some movement on the issue of speed limits outside Brookby School. After last month’s article on lowering speeds outside rural schools we received this letter:

Thanks for the wonderful article. We had a meeting with Auckland Transport and were very pleasantly surprised at how agreeable and supportive they were about the speed decrease.  

We are, however, still on a waiting list. But they are going to immediately see if they can get the speed dropped to 70kp/h as an interim measure and also tarseal our carpark to improve the off-road parking situation and make it safer. So, that is great.
